Located in the quantifishing village of Port barton, Philippines, 'Pella's Place' will be a Children's Home for Filipino kids without families. Construction began a year ago and it is nearly complete. To date the project has been a philanthropic endeavour by Pernilla's father, Thomas McAlevey.

Upon Pernilla's death the name of the home became obvious to all involved pernila and her sister Marika have supported the project from its inception. Earlier this year, on her second trip to the Philippines, Pernilla (and her sister) stayed in the very structure that will bear her name and house up to the first dozen kids

The Children's Home will pay lasting tribute to Pernilla's integrity and selfless determination to improve the world. Pella's Place will be non-denominational bookkeeping will be transparent, and visits from donors and others will be encouraged. We anticipate arrival of the first group of kids during 2018.

Pella's
KIDS

We will work with local authorities when choosing our kids. We will accept boys and girls ages 8 through 15, and commit to fully supporting them throuth age 18. Pella's Place will support between 6 and 30 children.

The wellbeing of the first 6 is guaranteed by Mr McAlevey, the number helped after that will be determined by the level of private donations received.

Activities

Pella's Place will also continue its current support of the local community through
free activities from computer courses to kids' movie nights.
